Eliade, Mircea, 1907-1986

This folder is the second of two containing Burton and Peggy Feldman's correspondence with Christinel and Mircea Eliade. Much of the correspondence is in French. There are also a great deal of Burton's notes on how he might use Mircea Eliade as a character in some of his novels.

This folder is the first of two containing Burton and Peggy Feldman's correspondence with Christinel and Mircea Eliade. This folder also contains a copy of Mircea Eliade's manuscript entitled ''Ivan''.

This folder contains a notebook and notes of Burton Feldman's pertaining to myth, politics, and the notion of kinship. The notebook is filled, largely, with lists of authors that Burton would potentially be referencing. Alongside the notebook are a stack of index cards with notes concerning the concepts the authors discussed. The folder also contains some loose sheets of paper and newspaper clippings that had been in the notebook.

This folder contains a collection of Burton Feldman's notes on and drafts of a paper on myth as it neared its completion.

This folder contains Burton Feldman's research on Mircea Eliade. This research was not included in the final draft of the book ''The Rise of Modern Mythology: 1680 - 1860.'' The research may have been considered for the book when the scope of the project was larger, or it may have been collected to be used in a potential sequel.
