Biography
Arthur Losso Esserman was born in Illinois on January 24, 1898 and died in Denver, Colorado June 18, 1952. He practiced pediatric medicine in Denver from 1926 to 1952, much of the time at Children's Hospital in Denver. He married Pauline Rothbaum in St. Louis, Missouri and they had one son, Paul Esserman.

Leather Notebook With Symptoms and Treatments, between 1924-1952
A black leather notebook with six metal rings inside having an appearance of an address book, but used as a way to categorize symptoms and medical treatments. The back cover has flap and several medical charts and treatments are inside. There is a handwritten label inside: ''A.L. Esserman; 1595 Gilpin; Denver, COLO.'' Dr. Arthur L. Esserman (born 1898) was an intern at Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado from 1924 to 1926 and practiced pediatric medicine in Denver from 1926 to 1952.
Leather Syringe Case, between 1924-1952
A black leather case with zipper on one side. The inside has a leather band for holding syringes in place. Belonged to Dr. Arthur L. Esserman (born 1898) who was an intern at Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado from 1924 to 1926 and practiced pediatric medicine in Denver from 1926 to 1952.
Medical bag, between 1934-1952
A black leather case with two leather handles and a metal clasp at the top. The interior sides of the case each have a compartment that close with a metal button. The flat opening case was patented by the Schell Co. in December of 1934. It was used by Dr. Arthur L. Esserman, a pediatrician in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Arthur L. Reflex Hammer, between 1924-1952
A Taylor diagnostic reflex hammer, used by Dr. Arthur Esserman, has a steel handle and a triangular piece of rubber held in place by a steel loop at the end of the handle. James Madison Taylor designed the ''tomahawk'' reflex hammer in 1888. Dr. Arthur L. A chrome cylinder that is divided into three sections. In the largest section are two tongue depressers in wrappers. The tongue depressers are coated with an anaesthetic to numb throat pain. In the other sections are sticks and cotton for making cotton swabs. The materials belonged to Dr. Arthur L.
