Biography

Carolyn B. Etter moved into the University Park area of Denver, Colo. when she was 11 because her father, Francis Willard Brush (1908-2005), was a professor at the University of Denver. Her husband, Don D. Etter was an attorney with the law firm of Holland & Hart and later became an author and historian. Carolyn Etter worked with nonprofit organizations before she and her husband served as joint managers of Denver's Department of Parks and Recreation from 1987-1991, during Mayor Federico Pena's second administration.
