Grimes, Sam, 1870-1963
Biography
Samuel Grimes was born in Russia Poland in 1870 and died in Denver, Colorado in 1963. In 1892 in Denver, he married Anna Karsh, who was born in Odessa, Russia. He worked in both Salt Lake City, Utah, and in Denver and later started a junkyard in Denver. Sam Grimes was a trustee of JCRS and helped to found a society to help elderly Jews. The home later became Beth Israel Hospital and Home for the Aged.
