Hayutin, Anna Ginsberg, 1893-1973

Anna Ginsberg Hayutin was the mother of Peryle Hayutin Beck, one of the namesakes for the Peryle Hayutin and Ira M. Beck Memorial Archives. She was born in New York City on November 13, 1893 and died in Denver, Colorado in July 1973.

Overview A caramel brown felt sailor hat with a circular wire brim. On the outside of the brim, there is a brown velvet ribbon, and the front has a small brown velvet bow. The inside of the hat is stamped with a white crest with a lion; inside and around the crest reads: ''fur felt body by Mallory''. Inside the brim is brown grosgrain ribbon with a label affixed reading: ''Kate Ferretti Denver''.

A blue border is also embroidered with butterflies. The coverlet is part of an embroidered bedroom linen set. It was handmade by Anna F. Ginsberg Hayutin.
