Fannie McClurg Shattuck b. 22 Sept. 1861; m. Herbert Alonzo Howe 23 Dec. 1884; d. 21 May 1947. In some places her name is spelled "Fanny" but there also appears to be a relative who uses the "Fanny" spelling. In his diaries 1884->, her husband consistently spells her name "Fannie," though in later life, he generally refers to her as "Mamma."
