Biography
James F. Hurlbut moved to the University Park area of Denver, Colorado with his wife and three children in 1952. Hurlbut worked for the Denver Research Institute at the University of Denver. He served as Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 5, Denver, Colorado for five years.

Abstract
James Hurlbut shares his memories of the University Park area of Denver, Colorado including the professions of his neighbors, local schools, as well as commercial and residential development. Hurlbut also gives a brief account of his accomplishments during the time he served as Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 5.
