Krog, Georg

 Person

Biography

Student-athlete: Men's soccer, 1965-1967. Georg Krog was a two-sport star at the University of Denver, participating in both skiing and soccer. On the slopes, Krog was as good as they come in the Nordic competition, winning the national championship in the event in 1969. He was a three-time All-American as a skier at DU, and was picked to the 1968 Olympic team in the sport. Though Krog was a natural when it came to skiing, he was every bit as good in the sport of soccer. He set a NCAA record for not allowing a goal for the entire 1965 season as the Pioneer goalkeeper. He was an All-American League goalie selection, a member of the Rocky Mountain soccer champions, and was named to the All-State soccer team in 1966.
