Ira M. Beck sits at his desk at Central Electric Supply Company. Beck became president of the company in 1969, succeeding his father Sam Beck, who founded the company and was elected chairman. Located at 500 Quivas Street in Denver, Colorado, Central Electric was a leading wholesale distributor of electrical construction material and lighting equipment in the Rocky Mountain region.

A five-piece aluminum World War I ''doughboy'' mess kit used as a Boy Scout mess kit. The kit is multi-purpose and includes silverware. The top and bottom of kit are used for cooking and serving. The spoon and fork are stamped with ''U.S.'', the knife is stamped with ''R.I.A. U.S. 1917'', and the handle of the pan is stamped with ''U.S. 1918''. Originally belonged to Ira M. Beck.
