Biography
Max Nierenberg was born in Russia in 1865. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1893 with his wife Goldie. They married around 1887, and had three children; Morris, Bessie, and Jennie. He founded the Colorado Mattress Co. in 1911, and in 1936 cofounded the Standard Furniture Co. of Colorado with Isadore Lande. As a Jewish man, he collected and donated aluminum for the war effort in 1942. He died on July 27, 1943.
