Marie [Maria] Lilli Margarete Bätge, b. Tallinn, m. Herr Steinberg, had one daughter, Karin M. Steinberg; then m. Dr. Max Israel Löwenstein (later Max Israel Loewenstein) in 1925; their son Ernst Heinrich Löwenstein (later Henry Lowenstein) b. Lowenstein Art Showing, 1971 May 3
Two newspaper articles about Maria Lowenstein's one woman show in 1971 at the Gallery of the United Bank of Denver Lobby. The Rocky Mountain News article features a picture of Maria standing with one of her paintings and another image of a painting below. Articles both give very brief biographical infomation and mention her cureent work is all done in acrylic and focues on her recent travels. the articles are mounted on a piece of cardboard.

Folder contains correspondence between Henry Lowenstein and the museum, notes, copies of clippings, Maria's resume, and 15 identified slides of Maria Lowenstein's paintings in the National Museum of Women in the Arts research center.

File contains exhibit planning notes relating to timeline and tasks, images of paintings, and information on paintings, such as title, dimension, medium and price, for the "Honoring the life and art of Maria Lowenstein" at the Niza Knoll Gallery. An unsigned copy of the exhibit and consignment agreement and the rules and regulations of the gallery as well as printed cards and fliers for the exhibit and a gallery business card are included.
RMPBS Arts District Program, 2013
Rocky Mountain PBS presented "The Life and Artwork of Maria Lowenstein" on the television show Arts District. The segment also included set designs of Henry Lowenstein. There was also an exhibit at Niza Knoll Gallery and another exhibit at the University of Denver. The folder contains correspondence and a biographical sketch. There is also a DVD of the Arts District program segment.
