Abstract

Two University of Denver members of the ''Gyros Club'', alternately known as the ''Tumbling Team'', identified as Joseph P. Graves and Charles C. Dickson, perform a stunt where one tumbler is throw backwards with his body parallel to the ground as fellow gymnasts watch on the DU campus in Denver, Colorado in 1923. Buchtel Memorial Chapel is visible in the background. Standing (l-r) are: Arden E. Ratcliff (behind Vinsonhaler), Max M. Vinsonhaler, physical director Granville Johnson, Raymond D. Hampton, Arthur A. Huffsmith, and Asher H. Patten
