Newspaper clipping on back: ''Bill Abbott, Denver's high-scoring forward of the last two hockey seasons, has been switched to defense this year to help alleviate the manpower shortage in that department. He will team with John Popenuik, another veteran, next Saturday night when the Pioneer varsity meets the Alumni-Freshman in the 1953-54 season opener on the D. U. arena ice.
