Abstract
Depiction of the Amitabha Buddha from the Thangde Gatsal Collection on Thangka Buddhist Art. The image depicts Amitabha Buddha in a sitting meditative position holding an intricate statue. Surrounding the Amitabha Buddha are detailed large flowers. The image is almost entirely in gold with the exception of Amitabha Buddha's black hair and the blue and red jewels in the crown and jewelry worn by the Buddha.
