Abstract
Typed letter from C.D. Spivak in Denver, Colorado, to Mr. H. Masliansky in New York, New York. Letter states that in regards to the case of Samuel Rappaport, who died at the Sanitorium on Dec. 1st, 1909, that the funeral expenses have not yet been paid and their undertaker has brought the matter to their attention several times. Spivak states that enclosed is the bill that they have had on file since April 1st and states that this amount was included in the bill they sent to Mr. Masliansky on Dec. 10th amounting to $52.00. Letter states that Mrs. Rappaport's address has been given in a letter from Mrs. F.E. Shapiro [Florence Shapiro], Sec'y N Y L A. is 229 E 106th. Letter requests that at Mr. Maslianksy's convenience, if he would kindly see that this bill is paid. Letter is unsigned but "Secretary" is typed at the bottom. There is a P.S. which states that among Rappaport's effects was found $13.35 in cash, from which $12.50 was sent to the Ladies Shroud Society, and which the amount is deducted from the total cost of $52.00. Additionally, there is a money order totaling $10.00 and a nickel watch.
