Overview

Pencil-scribed burial receipt for Abraham Finberg "to [the] United Hebrew Cemetery Association" on a printed template that states, "Rose Hill Cemetery Denver, Colo" dated "4/8 1909" [sic]. The receipt reads "For Deceased _Abram [Abraham] Finberg_ In Block _102_ No._8_ For Hearse _$3.00_ For Grave _$15.00_ For Digging _$3.00_ For Coffin Undertaken _$5.50_ For Bal Misaskim _$2.00_ For Tachrichem _$3.00_ Total _$31.50_" [sic]. The receipt is signed illegibly.

Written at the bottom of the receipt in pencil reads, "Buried by L.S.S." [sic]. Based on prior examples in the record the archivist assumes that L.S.S. stands for the Ladies Shroud Society, who historically buried JCRS patients.
