Overview
Typed letter from C.D. Spivak in Denver, Colorado, to Mr. A. Tannenbaum in New York, New York, acknowledging receipt of his of the 3rd inst., enclosing check for $40.95 in payment of the funeral expenses of the late Barnett [Barnet] Jacobs, who was a member of the Baron Lodge #127, I.O.B.A. This amount, together with the $3.55 in J.C.R.S.' possession, pays in full the funeral expenses of the late Mr. Jacobs, and they have sent this money to Mr. Saly [M.A. Saly], President of the Beth Midrosh [Medrash] Hagadol Cemetary Association, and enclose his receipt of the same, $44.50. As per their request, they have sent to Mrs. Jacobs [Lena Jacobs] by registered mail, all the valuables they had in their possession, consisting of two gold rings, knife and purse. Letter states trust that she will receive same in a good condition and is unsigned but "Secretary" is typed at the bottom.
