Letter from Julius Guttmann to Dr. C.D. Spivak, 1909 January 6
Handwritten letter in black ink from Julius Guttmann in St. Louis, Missouri to Dr. C.D. Spivak informs that Julius Guttmann has already sent a letter of introduction on behalf of Mr. Gus Roufa and enclosed with this second letter is a check for $30, meant to cover any costs like lodging for Mr. Gus Roufa until he can be admitted to JCRS. Julius Guttmann informs that Mr. Gus Roufa is indeed very sick and that he might be considered an emergency case upon his arrival in Denver. Informs that Mr. Gus Roufa belongs to two lodges, "King David Lodge [illegible] and "[illegible] Shalom Lodge I.O.B.A." Julius Guttmann writes that he will deal with some matter, "Beyer [illegible]" with hopes that he can get something out of it for JCRS. Some time in next month, he will go before the United Charities board and hopes for success there as well. Letter is signed Julius Guttmann.

Scope and Contents
From the Series: This series of patient records includes medical reports and histories, statistical data of patients, x-rays, and death certificates. The patient files include applications, correspondence and some may also contain photographs and personal items.
Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
In the top righthand corner of the letter, "30.00" is written in pencil and circled. The last paragraphs on the bottom of the letter suffer some slight water damage.
