Letter from C.D. Spivak to Julius Bennett, 1909 November 27
Typed letter from C.D. Spivak in Denver, Colorado, to Julius Bennett in New York City, New York, stating additional information about the deceased Harry Schick. Spivak states that Schick entered the JCRS Sanatorium on Aug. 12, 1909 and that he was sufferring a great deal. After a bit of time, no relief could be given to the man and Mr. Schick was operated on as soon as possible, he was sent to the County Hospital, where he was kept for about a week under careful observation until early Saturday morning, November 22, Schick was operated on. He seemed to be recovering well until the following day, Schick passed away. Once enclosed with this letter was the bill for Harry Schick's funeral that had amounted to $56.00. Letter is unsigned but "Secretary" is typed at the bottom.
