Scope and Contents

Box contains one acrylic painting by Maria Lowenstein, done while she was living in Denver. Painting is of six figures, all with head coverings, grouped together. Three figures on the top appear female while the two figures on the lower left appear male. On the center right is a figure whose face is covered by their hands. Artist signature "Maria" in bottom left corner. The work is done is a cubist style using mostly shades of blue with some red and cream colored accents and black outlines. The paint is thick and the surface textured before paint was applied. Piece is portrait in orientation and framed in a thin 1 ¾” gold frame that has been distressed with grey and black paint.
