Text is a calendar for the month of August. Included saints' days indicate intended use in Paris, particularly the August 1 celebration of St. Peter in Chains in red, the August 25 feast of King Louis IX, and the August 29 feast of the Beheading of John the Baptist in red. The leaf could originally have come from a Psalter or Book of Hours.
