Abstract

Container 16 contains a hand made costume of a dragon made for a student of the Ricks Center who utilized a wheelchair. The costume was designed specifically to be put on the child while using the wheelchair. Items include the head of the dragon, a train as the dragon's body, and gloves.

Biographical / Historical

Per oral history received from Dr. Norma Lu Hafenstein, former director of the Ricks Center for Gifted Children, this dragon costume was made for Michael Niel by his mother Chris Russell. The costume was utilized in the production of "Camelot" during the 1993-1994 academic year. The production was directed by Nancy Jordan.
