Letter from E. Gonda to C.D. Spivak, 1910 April 22
Handwritten letter from one of Mrs. Gonda's children to JCRS on behalf of Mrs. Gonda. They explain that the family is surprised to hear that their father has been admitted into the sanatorium. They also explain that they could not write earlier because of the constant struggle to look for work, but their uncle has helped the family move from Perth Amboy, New Jersey to New York. The family admits that they heard some troubling news from a young man who saw Louis Gonda in the hospital and he said Louis would have no more than two weeks to live. The family writes to receive news about the condition of their father from JCRS. They also enclosed a note for their father hoping that he will be in good condition to receive it. The letter is signed "H. Gonda on behalf of Mrs. Gonda and family" with their New York address on the bottom.
