Letter from C.D. Spivak to F.D. Gonda, 1910 August 19
Abstract
Typed letter from C.D. Spivak to F.D. Gonda. Spivak mentions that a member of the Board of Trustees had a few offers for the photographic equipment and the highest bid came to $20.00. Spivak then details that $5.50 plus $1.00 will be taken from that amount to cover boarding costs of Louis Gonda, as well as the cost for the death certificate. He states that if they are not willing to sell the camera for $20.00 then the family will need to pay $5.50 plus $7.00 or $8.00 to cover the cost of shipping the camera to New York. There is a handwritten statement after the details about the shipment that states, "the express company will not agree to ship it C.D.S." and we are unsure if the statement was added after the letter had been sent. The letter is signed "Secretary" at the bottom.
