Letter from C.D. Spivak to F. Schneiderman, 1907 November 13
Typed letter from C.D. Spivak to F. Schneiderman. Spivak reminds Schneiderman that on the day of his arrival he made a statement that he only had fifteen cents in his pocket; therefore, Spivak gave a letter to Mr. Garson guaranteeing that he would pay him for one week of Schneiderman’s board. Spivak informs Schneiderman that he received a letter from Joseph Klein stating that Schneiderman was given $65.00 before he left for Denver. Spivak wonders how he could have made the statement that he came penniless and asks Schneiderman to pay Mr. Garson $5.50 for his board. Spivak says that by having these new facts, he is sure the Board of Trustees will not consider to spend the money of JCRS to pay for Schneiderman’s board. He tells Schneiderman to make an effort to pay what he owes at once and signs the letter, “Secretary” at the bottom.
