Abstract
The brains behind Homecoming – Jan Evans (Queen Chairman), Tom Bottone (Homecoming Chairman) and Nancy Corpening (Homecoming Secretary). Sigma Chi to brand freshman cowgirls at the annual Sigma Chi Rodeo, one of the largest Greek events of the year, held on October 16, 1954, at Observatory Park. Homecoming Queens to apply immediately to be considered for candidacy must do so by October 19, 1954. Nominees for class offices announced. Sophomore pictures due by October 30, 1954 for the K Book. British Governor of Hong Kong, Sir Alexander Grantham lectures at DU on October 18, 1954. Student Directory for Fall quarter released. The Student Union Board of Governor’s Entertainment Committee presented one of Denver’s jazz organizations on campus, the Shelley Rhym All-Stars.
