Abstract
Pioneer Gridsters in Contention for ‘Bowl’ – the Pioneer football team is under consideration by two post-season bowl committees. Windy Whirl is the weeks hi-lite – On this night, (November 19, 1954) is the annual AWS frolic. Skid Pirtle, Glen Buse and Lyle Johnson are the final candidates for the king title of “The Man Most Likely to Sweep You Off Your Feet.” Debate Issue Raises Conflict – the DU Chapter of Tau Beta Alpha, national honorary speech fraternity, received a communique from National Headquarters stating that there was difficulty in connection with the years debate question. Five young women, deemed as “Lovelies” were named by Clarion Staff – George Ann Brannan, Fran De Young, Audry Eklund, Helen Hancock and Cathie Monroney – one of which will be chosen to represent the DU Basketball Team at the annual Kentucky All-American City Tournament. Aggie Cannon Lost. Student Senate Meeting to be held Thursday, November 9, 1954. Pajama Game is Name of DU Game to occur on Thanksgiving Eve.
