Abstract

A continuation of a Basic Poetics class taught by Allen Ginsberg in 1980 at Naropa. Ginsberg begins the class by discussing and reading from George Herbert. He then reads a selection of Jack Kerouac's poetry, and ends by reading and discussing selections of James Shirley and Thomas Carey's poetry.
