Ms. Rhonda Hocker is a junior at Northern Arizona University. Interviewed by Phyllis Boyes, graduate student at Northern Arizona University, on May 8, 1977. Topics discussed in the interview include: Hocker's biographical data; her first encounter with Native Americans at Winslow High School; her first encounter with reservation Indians in Tuba City; her interest in educating Native Americans; methods for reservation teaching in teacher education; the strengths and drawbacks of assimilation; the impact of the Red Power Concept on students; relations with the Bureau of Indian Affairs; and projections of Native American Education in the future.
