Oral history interview with Warren C. Christman, April 2, 1984., 1984, 2005 July 5
Abstract
Mr. Christman was born in Topeka, Kansas in 1922. He worked first as a laborer and later as a lineman doing communications maintenance on the Grand Canyon Railway Line. He explains his job in communications maintenance and his work as a troubleshooter for the telephone and telegraph lines. Other topics discussed include: cattle trains; passenger trains; the job duties of the Station Agent and the Telegraph Agent; trouble on the railroad during lightning strikes; and various information regarding railroad communications.
