Abstract
Dr. Frank McGlone, a physician born and raised in Colorado, reflects on his memories of World War I, including a large celebration in Denver at the announcement of the end of the war. Discusses his experience of the flu epidemic during World War I, how it affected his family, and how doctors treated flu patient. McGlone discusses his memories of gas lighting, coal furnaces, the changes in radio technology, playing baseball, and his association with well-known Denverites. Recalls how an African American semi-professional baseball team rallied to fundraise a scholarship for McGlone. Finally McGlone reflects on his career as a physician.
