Abstract
Handwritten letter from Dr. A. Granet to C.D. Spivak. Granet wrote on behalf of Mary Schmittmeyer to check on her son’s health condition in Denver. Granet reiterated that Spivak told Sam Schmittmeyer that he should go back to the East Coast, but this advice alarmed Mrs. Schmittmeyer because of the sudden change in her son’s health. Granet also said that Sam wrote to his mother a few weeks ago and told her to settle with him in Denver. Granet then stated that he understood that Sam suffered from “heart depression caused by the high altitude” but wanted to obtain more information from Spivak about his sudden change in advice, as well as Sam’s current condition. Granet asked Spivak to answer for the sake of a heart broken mother and signed the letter, “Granet” at the bottom.
