Letter from Mrs. Glazer to JCRS, 1911 August 19
Handwritten letter from Mrs. Glazer to JCRS. Mrs. Glazer told JCRS that her husband planned to leave the sanatorium soon and Mr. Glazer told her that he seemed like he would be in good health on the East Coast, just like he had been on the West Coast. Mrs. Glazer asked JCRS to write her letter with specific details about her husband’s current health condition. She asked several questions regarding her husband’s health because she owned a small grocery store to support her children and if the community heard that her husband had tuberculosis once he returned she was afraid people would not shop at her store. She asked JCRS if they could write a letter that stated her husband suffered from something else other than tuberculosis that way she could prove to the community that her family was not sick. She thanked the JCRS staff in advance.
