Overview

Typed letter from Mr. Clark Carter, secretary of the Lawrence City Mission, inquiring about Mr. Louis Bernstein, who was a patient at the Sanatorium. Mr. Clark is inquiring whether Dr. Spivak knows whether or not Mr. Bernstein, who is employed in Denver, is able to support his family if they were to be sent to Denver from Massachusetts. The Overseers of the Poor refuse to spend the money to send the family to Denver for fear the Mr. Bernstein won't be able to support them or will die from tuberculosis. Letter is signed and dated.
