Abstract
Anne Calvert Cross discusses her attendance at Steele School, North Junior High School before attending Colorado College and Wellesley. Discussion of family includes the Marksheffels, husband Wilson Marshall Cross, and daughter Elisa Cross Dawson. Anne Cross and her husband operated a bookstore called Their Place in Colorado Springs. She went on to work at Colorado College, Colorado Springs School and the Chinook Book Shop. Cross shares memories of growing up in the then sparsely populated near North End in Colorado springs and lifelong friendships. She discusses volunteer activities, local politics, and her love of the arts.
