Abstract
George Hovorka In the 1970?s then a City Council member speaks of growth & development, permit limitations, depending on submissions of the most attractive designs, landscaping, water and energy conservation features thus bringing higher quality developments to Westminster. In 1976 George served as Mayor Pro-Tem then 1983 George was named Mayor. Discussion of implementing the ward system for Westminster, instead of the at-large vote, development of City Park Recreation Center, opening 1986. Public works, annexation & northern interchange, Denver Boulder Turnpike. George Horvorka also served as an educator in several positions in the early Adams County School District #50 one of which he served as principle of Gregory Hills Elementary while overseeing the kindergarten classes with the district.
