Francis Homes -- South of 72nd Avenue and east of Federal Blvd. Population -- In 1950 it was 1630 -- Mayor -- England, Harvey -- Day, F.M. -- Didn't want to be second class City. In 1960 it was 13,800. Recall Election June 23, 1959 -- Zoning Change at 75th Ave and Lowell Blvd -- Annexation at 72nd Ave at Wolff Rosewood Subdivision -- Installation of storm sewers. O'Shea, Jerry -- Elected to Council November 1957 -- Storm sewer problems so created improvement districts -- street improvement districts. Standley Lake -- negotiating with farmers to supply water -- we were supplier of water to other places -- Threat of condemnation by Thornton got a $8,000 planning grant from Shaw Heights development
