Documents from the Loewenstein's life in Berlin between the end of World War II and their emigration to the United States in 1946. File includes a ration upgrade request from the Aid Office for the Political Refugees and Racially Persecuted, certificate to Dr. Max Loewenstein from the Department of Social Welfare Department of Victims of the Nuremberg Laws recognizing Loewenstein as a victim of the Nuremberg Laws, Dr. Max Loewenstein's identification card, certificate from the Social Democratic Party issuing Marie Loewenstein a new member card, and Max Loewenstein's Social Democratic Party membership card.
