Abstract

This reel contains a lecture given by Allen Breck at the University of Denver in October of 1965. The topic of the discussion is the renaissance and philosophers of the 14th, 15th, and 16th century. Breck discusses five (5) types of philosophers from those centuries--Renaissance Humanists, Platonists of the Renaissance, Aristatillians, Philosophers of Nature, and Political Scientists. The theme that Breck discusses in relation to these types of philosophers is the Great Chain of Being.
