Framed Document and Envelope, 1884
Abstract
An envelope from J. R. Hinkle, County Clerk, Gunnison, Colo. addressed to to S. H. Wood, Tin Cup, Colo. and a handwritten document to Mr. Sol Harris notifying him "that at a regular meeting, held Sat Evening Oct 25th 1884, You were duly appointed Treasurer for the Town of Tin Cup to have and o hold said office until your successor shall be duly qualified." The document is signed by the mayor and clerk of Tin Cup. There is a red corporate seal of the Town of Tin Cup, Gunnison, Colorado on the document.

Scope and Contents
The collection contains two framed documents and two photographs. One frame has two pages of ledgers for the town of Virginia City, Colorado created by Solomon Harris who was the town's treasurer and an envelope from the U.S. Census Bureau to Solomon Harris, treasurer. The other frame contains an envelope from the Gunnison County Clerk and a document from the Town of Tin Cup appointing Solomon Harris treasurer of Tin Cup until his successor can be qualified. There is also a photograph of the six Solomon brothers and a image of their mother Hannah Levi Hirsch.
