Irving Howe: The Idea of the Modern (Reel 1 / Side 2), 1965-03-11
Abstract
This reel contains Irving Howe, literary critic, speaking at the University of Denver in March of 1965. This is the second side of the reel. The side begins soon after the first side cut off, however there is no way of knowing how much (if any) material from the lecture was lost due to the switching of reel sides. Howe finishes his lecture by discussing nihilism.
