Abstract

This reel contains Stuart James speaking at the University of Denver as part of the spring 1965 English Department Lecture Series. The focal point of his lecture is the literature of the American south. Stuart claims that the 1920's witnessed a renaissance of southern literature and James' lecture examines the reasoning behind this renaissance.

There are intermittent noise artifacts during the middle/end of the recording, however the recording is still understandable.
