Materials Specific Details

French technique fine binding designed and created by artist Karen Hanmer. The binding is sewn on flattened cords laced into boards, covered in full goatskin. False raised bands. Inlays of goatskin and onlays using Paul Delrue{u2019}s Lacunose technique of sanded leather scraps. Sunken suede doublure, leather flyleaves. Hand sewn.
