Box 49: Plaques and Award
Abstract
Box contains several wall plaques. The John Evans Info Plaque, a frame-mounted plaque commemorating John Evans and his cohort for signing the Colorado Seminary charter;the Soloman Schwayder plaque, a brass plaque mounted on wood commemorating the library given by Ida W. Shwayder; the Early English Books Recognition Plaque designating the university as an Early English Books Research Center, inscribed in wood; a brass plaque mounted on wood commemorating a gift from the Territorial Daughters of Colorado Foundation, and a bronze memorial plaque for John P. Heisler. It also contains one brass plaque mounted on wood commemorating a gift from the Territorial Daughters of Colorado foundation, a bronze memorial plaque for John P. Heisler, a business-card sized plaque reading Garrapata Creek and Headlands, California 1998, ROnald W. Wohlauer, and several brass bookmark sized plaques in honor of Jackie Spearman, Evelyn Runnette, Herb and Arch Pastan, and Pat and George Vardaman. Finally, it contains the Colorado Library Association Project of the Year Award in 1998, given to the disaster recovery project designed by the Colorado School of Mines, the University of Colorado at Boulder, the University of Denver, and the University of Northern Colorado. The award is clear plastic mounted on a plastic base made to look like marble.
