Biographical / Historical

One of the original six groups to make up the Women's Coalition, Women Advocating Change (WAC) was a group of staff women (in middle management) at the University of Denver interested in personal and professional education and development. The group operated under this name from 1997 to 2008. In 2008 the group requested to change its name due concerns by members around the "aggressive title and weird acronym." The name was then changed to Connecting Staff Women (CSW). CSW operated until 2012 until it merged with Staff Women Association and Network (SWAN) to become Women's staff Alliance for Networking and Development (WAND). (See Series 9).
