University of Denver Protest Woodstock West Planted Crosses Outside Mary Reed Building, May 5th-13th 1970
Abstract
A hand written sign on a stake outside of Mary Reed, reading "These crosses are planted in memory of the Kent State Four -whose names we all know- And ALL others who have lost their lives in the STRUGGLE for PEACE". Four white Crosses stand behind the sign, as part of a multi-day Vietnam War protest nicknamed "Woodstock West" that took place both on the DU campus and downtown Denver, Colorado. Protesters mourn the killings of four students on the Kent State University campus days earlier.
