University of Denver Woodstock West Protesters Sit on Wooden Structure on Campus, May 5th-13th 1970

University of Denver (DU) protesters sit on the makeshift wooden structure apart of "shantytown" named Woodstock Nation, some holding building supplies, others smoking. Others sit on the ground, or lean against a car as part of a multi-day Vietnam War protest nicknamed "Woodstock West" that took place both on the DU campus and downtown Denver, Colorado. Protesters mourn the killings of four students on the Kent State University campus days earlier.
