Biographical / Historical
John Dunning was born 9 January 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, and was raised in Charleston, South Carolina. In 1966 he started working as a clerk in the library at the Denver Post. He later became a copy boy, then a reporter; he later was put on the newspaper's three-man investigative team. He collected old-time radio shows for 30 years, and hosted a Denver radio show for 25 years. In 1984, John and his wife founded and operated Old Algonquin Bookstore in East Denver. They closed the store in 1994, and have been online booksellers ever since. He is an award winning author of fiction and non-fiction. He currently resides in Colorado.
