Abstract

This box contains various documents from the DU Office of Business and Financial Affairs related to internal memos, evaluations and surveys, payroll and accounting, federal and state legislation, education oversight organizations, and various projects and proposals.

Internal memos also include information about holidays, mail services, the Department of Purchasing, and printing. There are also external materials such as their "Dollars and Sense" Newsletter and informational flyers about payments and housing.

Evaluations and surveys include performance figures, finances for the Social Sciences Foundation, the Office of Sponsored Programs, space analyses for the Mary Reed Buidling, a multifamily housing vacancy and rental survey, an annual report from Central Addressing and Mailing, and reports from Purchasing and Business Services.

There are materials from the Controller's Office about accounting, payroll, paroll instructions, a proposal for a new model of resource management, a capital project portfolio, an annual report, various reports, and UPMIFA.

Related to federal and state legislation and organizations, there are materials related to state aid to private colleges, a manual for classifying state residency, IRS guidelines, a discussion of projects with the Independent Higher Ed. Fund of Colorado, a request for federal funding for DU Control Metrics, discussion of the Deficit Reduction Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 2005, and data guidelines for the Higher Learning Commission.

There are materials from Phil Davis's Office. Then there are miscellaneous materials related to projects, proposals, and groups such as the Pioneer Card, the Graduate School of International Studies emergency loan, a proposal for Reconceptualization of Residential Life at DU, memos about new programs in the College of Law, discussion of the DU Gift Policy, materials from the Sudan Divestment Task Force, communications with the Denver United Church, a Teach for America Proposal, and materials from the TIAA-CREF Task Force.

From the Collection:

This collection contains materials related to the responsibilities of and created by the University of Denver's Office of Business and Financial Affairs. Their primary role is to oversee the financial management, business operators, and built environment of the University. Thus, materials in this collection mostly cover the following topics: annual reports, real estate, budget, bonds and loans, agreements and contracts, and internal materials. This collection can be added to in the future.
