Abstract

Central Jewish Council of Denver formed in 1912 and began publishing "The Denver Jewish News" in 1915. Dr. Charles Spivak was one the writers of the newspaper. The newspaper became the Intermountain Jewish News in 1925. JEWISHColoado was formed as a result Also in 1925 the Council became the United Jewish Campaign and then the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado. Eventually, JEWISHColorado was formed as a result of the merger of three historic organizations: Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado, the Colorado Agency for Jewish Education (CAJE), and the Jewish Community Foundation of Colorado.

Collection contains a copy of the Colorado History News from April 1995; a copy of the book "The First Twenty-Five Years of the General Rose Memorial Hospital 1945-1970"; a copy of the book "Major General Maurice Rose: The Most Decorated Battletank Commander in U.S. Military History." It also contains a print of recently restored painting of General Maurice Rose, news clippings, photographs, scrapbooks, correspondence, and research materials.
